- It is that time of year again... primary 6 have been putting their dancing shoes on!
- For the next few weeks, Primary 6 will be practising various Scottish Country dances in preparation for their Christmas Party.
- So far, they have been brushing up on the moves they learned last year. They have been doing The Gay Gordons, St Bernard's Waltz and The Military Two Step.
- Take a look at them in action...

Primary 6 tackle a STEM challenge!
- As part of our new topic, we have started to learn about Natural Disasters.
- We were set a Engineering challenge to build an earthquake proof structure. There was lots of specific instructions such as height, resources etc.
- When we had built our structure, we tested the weight it could hold using bags of rice (of different weights). Some of our structures 'survived'! :)
- This challenged linked well to our 'Word of the Week' which is foundations.
- We had lots of fun working together as well as working with children from P6/7.
Here are some photos of us in the building stages of the challenge:
Now take a look at some of the finished pieces...
- We had an absolute ball completing this challenge and learned a lot about the importance of strong foundations and structures of buildings!
