Science- The Kidneys

The Kidneys Experiment

  • Primary 6 have been learning about the human body as part of their learning in Science.
  • Part of their learning was about the role of the kidneys in the body and to explore how they work, the children carried out an exciting experiment.

  • As you can see, the children enjoyed their filtering experiment and it really enhanced their understanding of the role of the kidney.
  • The class agreed that it was great fun and an enjoyable method of learning! :)

STEM Outdoors!

Primary 6 were learning about 'Biodiversity' and conservation.
As part of their learning, they went to 'The Secret Garden' to carry out some conservation activities.

They created mini beast habitats, ensuring they used all the essentials to make the creatures comfortable!
Take a look at some of the children hard at work:

As well as this, Primary 6 created bird feeders. They used apples, sticks, string and bird seed and hung these on trees for the birds!

The children had a wonderful time being outdoors and really helped to improve the environment for various living creatures! Great job, Primary 6! :)
